The Gravel Series Hampshire

EVENT CANCELLED

We are sorry to inform you that we have decided to cancel the Gravel Series Hampshire and South Downs events. This was not an easy decision to make but due to low interest, it wouldn't be possible to host the events and provide the best possible experience.

We appreciate this is not welcome news and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Everyone who had entered this event has been sent an email. Refunds will be issued shortly.

Our Gravel series is designed for ALL riders to come and give some off-road cycling a go. Whether you’ve done it plenty of times before, or this is your very first ride, it really doesn’t matter - the Gravel Series Hampshire is loads of fun, no matter your skill level.

The off-road cycling event in Hampshire is the second event in our Gravel Series this year, with four routes on offer ranging from the short and relatively flat Rook route to the much longer and bumpier Long route. That said, even our Long route isn't that daunting and will offer riders a fun day in the saddle. There really is something for everyone to come and give Gravel a go!

All routes start from Matterley Bowl and head east straight out onto the South Downs Way. The highest point of the long route passes through the Old Winchester Nature reserve where you’ll be treated to views across the AONB.

These routes boast fast sections through the open countryside mixed with woodland tracks and chalky flint lined descents. The trails can be rutted in places and the flint is certainly slippery when wet. But stay focused on these more challenging bits and you’ll enjoy the rest of the adventure no problem.

Of course, you’ll be rewarded for all your off-roading efforts as you cross the finish line to receive a bespoke wooden finishers medal and other goodies from our partners at Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, OTE sports and Days Brewery.

This event is only suitable for Gravel, CX and Mountain Bikes.
