The Cambridgeshire Classic 2024
Saturday 2 March 2024 | Huntingdon Racecourse
Online entry has now closed. On the day entries will be accepted and costs an additional £5 over the standard online entry price.
Regardless of which route you choose from, the event will take you on a fantastic ride through the County of Cambridgeshire.
Starting at Huntingdon Racecourse, all routes head out past Brampton Wood and round the edge of Grafham Water. The Long route undulates continuously along the route clocking up nearly 800m of vertical ascent without ever going over 80m above sea level.
The three routes available will take you on an adventure out of Cambridgeshire, across to Bedfordshire and, on the Long Route, you’ll even briefly ride up into the East Midlands county of Northamptonshire. Across the three routes and three counties, you’ll be treated to many kilometres of quiet country lane riding with a variety of forestry and farmland lining the route.
Of course, you’ll be rewarded for all your efforts as you cross the finish line to receive a finishers medal and other goodies from our partners.
This event helps raise awareness for the fantastic work Alzheimer’s Research UK does and goes a long way into making breakthroughs for Dementia treatment and care possible.
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. Going for a ride and spending time outside is beneficial to both our mental and physical health, but did you know keeping active can also keep our brains in shape?
That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with Alzheimer's Research UK for the Cambridgeshire Classic sportive, so together we can raise awareness of the things we can be doing to look after our brains and support the charity in its efforts to find a cure for dementia.
