UK Cycling Events the lead provider of Cycling Sportives in the UK are looking to recruit staff for both the 2013 and 2014 season.

If you have a “can do” attitude to life and work, and are passionate about learning and achieving, we want to hear from you. You must be flexible in your approach, hardworking, prepared to travel, physically fit, and have a clean driving licence.

There are a number of positions available, both full and part time, to help with our ever expanding events business, experience is not essential as on the job training will be given, but what is essential is the right attitude to work and providing our customers with a fantastic experience.

Event Administration Assistant (Part Time)

Main purpose of job:
This interesting role has the responsibility of all the administration associated with the day of the event, from registration of the riders, timing of the their rides, and subsequent queries, as well as all general administration.

25 weekend events per year

Requirements
This role is suited to a well organised flexible individual who is prepared to work within the Events Team, with a “can do” attitude. They must be prepared to travel in readiness for the weekend events, and have a flair for high levels of customer service. Good interpersonal skills and computer literate
Salaries and benefits
£100 - £150 Per day plus travel expenses. Event clothing will be provided.

Event Warehouse Assistant

Main purpose of job:
Responsible for the event warehouse, support equipment and the allocation requirement for each event.
Hours:
Monday – Friday 8 – 4pm (some occasion weekend work may be required)
Location
Fordingbridge Hampshire
Duties Include:
  • Ensuring all equipment is in good condition and serviceable
  • Loading and unloading of Event Equipment in readiness for each event.
  • Warehouse is kept in clean and tidy condition which maintains high standards of Health and Safety.
  • Managing goods inwards
  • Occasional support to events as required.
Requirements
Based at our Event Warehouse and office in Fordingbridge Hampshire, this position is suitable for a hardworking, flexible person, to look after all elements of the support equipment used at each event. You must be over 21 and hold a clean drivers licence, be fit and flexible, and can work on your own initiative.
Salaries
£14 – £16K pa

Events Assistants (Two Full Time Positions)

Main purpose of job:
The assistant will support the effective operations of an Event, ensuring that the rider experience is of the highest quality.
Days of Working
Thursday - Monday
Location
Fordingbridge New Forest, with National Event Travel
Role
The events assistant will support the Events Team, in all elements of the of the event organisation, both pre and post event.
Duties Include:
  • Conducted risk assessments in line with UKCE Risk assessing policy.
  • Sign and remove Road and MTB courses pre and post event.
  • Liaise with venue managers and staff prior to events to ensure agreed event requirements are met and are in place.
  • Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations etc are adhered too
  • Assist in the set-up of event centres prior to the event
  • Ensuring the dismantling and removal of the events infrastructure is timely and enhances the image of the event.
  • Check Courses on the morning of an event if required.
  • Event day rider support
Requirements
This role would suit a hardworking flexible person who can work on their own initiative, and has a “can do” attitude to work. They must be physically fit, over the age of 21 and have a clean driving licence. The events are based throughout the UK, and therefore there is a need for significant travel. Good interpersonal skills are needed, to ensure that we meet and exceed rider expectations at all levels of the event.
Salaries and benefits
£17,000- £21,000 dependant on experience. Holiday Entitlement 20 days. Technical Clothing.
