Le Classique Francais Sportive took place on the 14th August 2016. Unlike the other French Sportive's within our calendar, Le Classique is unique in the fact it heads south east to Cassel and it's famed cobbled roads, taking in stunning waterways, countless churches, windmills, quaint little villages and, of course, the cobbles.
The course is a pretty flat run for 95% of the ride, save for some climbs in the middle of both the Standard and Epic routes, making it ideal for a good range of riders.
From the 4:30am start, we could tell it was going to be a great day. It was dry, warm and spirits were high. All riders were on the boat in good time and we set sail on schedule.
Once in France, the sun was blazing and the first riders quickly headed out on our routes to explore this typically French route.
