The Longest Day is a brand new type of Virtual Event that will see UKCE riders take on the challenge of riding the Longest Day of the 2020 Tour de France route. This year's Longest Day is Stage 12 of the TdF and takes riders on a hilly 218km route from the Medieval town of Chauvigny in the Vienne Valley to the finishers arch in Sarran Corrèze.

We want you to take on the challenge and complete the distance over 1 week starting at 00:01 on the morning of Saturday 25th July and ending 23:59 on the night of Friday 31st July.

There will be three levels of achievement; if you go all out and complete the 218km distance in 1 ride (on any day within the week) you will be awarded with the ‘General Classification’ finishers badge. Complete the 218km distance in 2 rides (on any 2 days within the week) then you will be awarded the ‘Super Domestique’ finishers badge. Finally, if you take the whole week to complete the 218km distance then you will be awarded with the ‘Peloton Rouleur’ finishers badge.

You don’t have to decide which level of achievement you are aiming for when you enter, so saddle up, see where the roads take you and watch the kudos roll in. Once you’ve finished your ride/rides you simply have to upload them by 23:59 on Friday the 31st July and your finishers badge will then be on it’s way to you. Make sure you share your progress with us on Facebook and Instagram @ukcyclingevents using the hashtag #thelongestday.

Entries close on Thursday 30th July at 1pm
