Resolutions Sportive

Resolutions Sportive

Saturday 27th January 2018 - RRU Aldershot, Rawlinson Road, Canada house, Aldershot, Hampshire GU11 2EY

The aim is in the title! Make your attendance at The Resolutions Sportive your number one Resolution for the New Year, and get some early season cycling in before Spring arrives.

Starting from Aldershot Barracks, the Resolutions Sportive is a fantastic opportunity to get those all-important early miles in the bank whilst taking in some of Hampshire’s North Downs and the surrounding areas.

This event is tailored to suit cyclists of all abilities, with three routes on offer. More seasoned riders can opt for the Epic route - it's not the longest route we do, but it certainly suits this time of year and will get your blood pumping. Riders who are just getting out for the first time this year, and just want to make a morning of it, can opt for our Standard route, while the Short route is geared at riders who are out for a bit of fun, want a casual ride or are just starting out. Whatever route you chose, rest assured that you'll have a team of staff ready to assist you in any way we can.

Blow off those festive cobwebs (more like mince pie crumbs) and start the year as you mean to go on by joining us at our cycling season’s opener, The Resolutions Sportive.

Fancy helping out at an event?

We always welcome volunteers at our events so if you fancy joining the crew for the day and helping out, please get in touch. You will be rewarded for your efforts and will be able to choose an event to ride for free. If this particular event is fully staffed, you can always put your name down for another event. More information about volunteering can be found on our Volunteer at a Cycling Event page, along with the link to the online application form.

Key Information

Although all our rides are non competitive events (i.e. not races), most people still like to know how well they've done. With this in mind we will time each participants ride. When you complete your ride your time will be calculated and these timings, along with the timing award you achieved, will be displayed on the Website. Each rider will receive a timing award of either; bronze, silver or gold, depending on their average speed. Of course, some riders aren't bothered about all these awards and just cycle for the experience and stunning scenery.
