Coronavirus and our Events

Posted on Fri, Mar 13, 20

Following the latest Government briefing and advice, there are currently no plans to cancel any mass gatherings (events) in the UK, therefore all UK Cycling Events are going ahead as normal.

We continue to follow advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England, as well as that of local government. As you can appreciate this is a very fluid situation which we will be monitoring closely and will provide further updates to riders if and when the situation changes. We are however taking extra measures to ensure the health and safety of our riders, attendees and staff.

  • We are following the health authorities and the government to stay up to date with the latest developments
  • We are following government guidance, which is to have good hand and respiratory hygiene by employing the ‘Catch It. Bin It. Kill It’ ethos
  • We have also added signage regarding hygiene and increased hand sanitiser available for use at our events at all venues, toilet provisions, feed stations and support vehicles.
  • We are minimising rider and staff contact at finish lines and registrations area.
  • For more information in regard to coronavirus (COVID-19) please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

We appreciate these are worrying times and we ask that all riders, attendees and staff are fully committed to higher levels of hygiene and follow government guidelines at all times.
