Event Information
Now in its 3rd year, the South Downs 100 Sportive is a fantastic event taking in the very best roads and climbs the South Downs have to offer. This stunning circuit starts at Chichester and weaves through the breathtaking South Downs taking in the leg burning Old Winchester, Buster and Uppark Hills. It finishes by rewarding you with views of the South Coast, the rolling patchwork Downs and the Sea.
With 2 years of glowing reviews from riders, this is a great event, which will test out your legs before winter kicks in and the Sportive Season cools down.
In addition to the Epic 100 mile route, there is a Standard 70 mile and a Fun 45 mile route, allowing riders to choose their own challenge.

We want to encourage young riders to enjoy the pleasure of cycling. That's why all riders under 16 years ride for free when accompanied by a paying adult!
Online pre-entryOnline pre-entry is the easiest way of entering and saves £3.00 per person vs. entering on the day. Online pre-entry will save you time on the day of the event allowing you to simple pick up your registration pack from the 'Pre entered collection point' and avoid having to queue up. Please note: if a event reaches its capacity we will have to close the event to riders wanting to enter on the day. It is therefore, best to pre enter online to avoid disappointment!
On the day entryOn the day entries are available at all our events as long as the event has not sold out prior to the event day. On the day entries are subject to an additional £3.00 per person surcharge. Payment can be made with cash or cheque. You can fill out an entry form when you arrive at the event. One entry form must be completed per person. Wiggle Customers will not be able to receive any loyalty discounts on the day.
Although all our rides are non competitive events (i.e. not races), most people still like to know how well they've done. With this in mind we will time each participants ride. When you complete your ride your time will be calculated and these timings, along with the timing Award you achieved, will be displayed on the Website. Each rider will receive a timing award of either; bronze, silver or gold, depending on your average speed. Of course, some riders aren't bothered about all these awards and just cycle for the experience and stunning scenery.
