Part of the New Forest Cycle Festival, the 'Falling Leaves' is a MTB and Cyclocross ride set against the stunning backdrop of the New Forest National Park. The course sweeps through the quiet flowing leafy off road tracks, Cycle Paths and is joined by sections of Forest lanes, taking in breathtaking views of the Forest as the trees drop their golden leaves.
The event will suit a wide range of riders disciplines and abilities, as the course is fairly flat and not technical. Experience riders will want to set a good time as they blast around this flowing course, while new riders can ride at their own pace taking in the scenery.
The nature of the tracks and off road cycle paths in the New Forest makes it perfect for either, Mountain Biking, Cyclocross or Families to enjoy. With this in mind there are 3 ride options:
Epic - 66km / 40miles
Standard - 41km / 25miles
Family Fun - 11km / 7 miles.
Note: Cyclocross - please note this event is not a race but a great training ride, prior to the 'Cross' season kicking off. A great way to get some miles under your belt on a suitable course.
The spectacular scenery of the New Forest National Park, combined with wild animals grazing and picturesque villages, make this a truly special Ride!
The event includes all the sophistication you would expect, including: electronic timing, well stocked feed stations, tarmac parking, over £10 of free energy products, event photography, showers, toilets, mechanical support, bike wash facilities and most importantly a extremely well marked course!
Each Rider will get free entry in to the New Forest Cycle Festival, the Festival will include: Live Music, BBQ, Local trade stalls, Entertainment, Free Children's activities and on site fun rides. A great reason to make a weekend of it! The Festival is jam packed with a variety of cycling events too; ranging from MTB / Cyclocross to a Road Hill Climb and by popular demand, last years sell out event - The New Forest 100 Sportive.
So all you need to do is turn up and ride!
